Metaparadigm comprises the main concept of discipline and how it should function.Discipline is one of the major expectationin this practice of nursing.The nursing metaparadigm of Discipline includes puncutuality, planning,assessment & implementation,nursing care and problem solving.Implementation of this Metaparadigm of Discipline is what that holds nursing's timeless values,its heritage,tardition and knowledge towards sustaining,caring,humanityand health for all.
The three major tenets(beliefs) of my personal philosophy of nursing are:
1) Compassion: This is a major quality a nurse should hold and
extend their selfless service to all mankind without looking at the
color,race or social status of the patient.
As the founder of nursing Florence Nightingale served with empathy
and a selfless attitude a nurse should always be compassionate to
the all patients she or he serves.
2) Responsibility and accountability for all nursing practice to
provide utmost patient care.A nurse is accountable and responsible
for all the procedures,working station,
quality of care ,taking care of all nursing emergencies and
care.This accountability and resposibility puts the nusring
proffession as an important one in health care sector.
3)Collaboration and coordination among other health care
worker's which results in efficient and extemplory patient care in
a Hospital.A nurse serves as a bridge between the
patient,doctor's,other
health care workers,sanitary workers who deal with the patients
directly.
