Generalized anxiety disorder is a disorder which is characterized by excessive nervousness and worried uncontrollably about many different things. The causes of generalized anxiety disorder can be family history or exposure to any stressful situations including personal or family illness.

The symptoms seen in the client are as follows:

* Constant worry, restlessness and trouble with concentration and unwanted thoughts.

* Emotional distress, difficulty falling asleep headache, naussea etc.

* Neurological symptoms such as numbness or tingling in different parts of the body.

* Sweaty palms, shaking and rapid heartbeat.
