Pros:- There are mainly three---- a) respect for patient autonomy.  

b) Relief from suffering.

c) It is a safe medical practice requiring a health care professional.

Cons:- a) Additional unintended harm through suicide contagion.

b) Slippery slope---- it is a belief that once the doctors are engaged in hastening the death of a person due to such reasons, they already had slid down a slope.

c) Depression in elderly people gets more value due to this as they get a chance of legalised suicide.

All these information have been taken from a research paper, "Pros and Cons of Physician Aid in Dying."
