Answer: Pneumonia and COPD are the respiratory diseases. This causes lungs insufficiency to maintain proper gas exchange process. Some of the lifestyle changes that is required to reduce and control the Pneumonia and COPD are:

  • Avoid smoking and passive smoking. Smoking leads damage to the alveoli cells. This reduces the efficiency of the lungs to perform gas exchange process. Hence it causes difficulty in breathing. The smokes gets filled in to the lungs, inflammation chokes the airways. Hence it is important to quit smoking.
  • Adopting healthy lifestyle such as eating fresh fruits, increase intake of healthy foods such as bean, broccoli etc. Reduce the intake of oily and saturated fats.
  • Indulge in the mild physical activities such as walking. This will manage the blood pressure, open the airways and support the ventilation.
