pick at least 2 senses to focus on (either: sight; smell; touch; hearing or taste) and see what you can discover. For Example: Even examining a strawberry is interesting if you really look at it, take it apart and notice the patterns, design, smell and taste of a piece of fruit which many of you eat.
Next do one of the other walks with a theme. See what you notice and what you discover.
So for this activity:
1. Spend time outside exploring at least two senses.
2. Do at least one walk-with-a-theme from the handout.
3. Write a little about your experience to your fellow students and post it.
4. If you have any ideas or suggestions how your experience might be of interest to children share that too.
5. Respond to at least one other student's post.
6. ENJOY SOME TIME RELAXING OUTSIDE!
Activity:
Spending time outside in a garden
sense 1 : Sight
Firstly I see a lot of greenary , plants, trees, flowers, birds
, and of course people.
kids playing , some people doing their evening walks and
jogging.
There is a small lake in the middle of this garden with a fountain
, however theres no water from the fountain.
many people sitting in the benches, some on the grass, talking,
laughing.
Sense 2: Hearing,
In the same scenario at the garden, I can hear vehicles passing
outside , the sound of birds chirping, the sound of water in the
small man made lake and sound of the kids who are
playing.
My overall experience with this was amazing, because It felt good seeing a lot of people around, the garden was green, with a lot of trees and the lake was also a eye catcher , breathing in fresh air and spending some time alone made me feel so good. I enjoyed spending time outside
