Answer: According to the current USA regulations on the abortion, it is considered to be legal. In the recent years, there have been no law passed against abortion.
Nurse plays major role in providing information to the patient as nurse need to ensure and build trust with the patients. If there is no complications to the pregnancy, nurse need to provide information and counseling for not aborting the child. Nurse should provide proper guidance to the client to make decisions of their own. The nurse should respect the autonomy of the client.
Abortion at early period such as on 4-5 weeks can not cause major complications. The early abortion should be legally accepted. But the late term abortion is threat to the mother's life. It could cause severe complications, it may cause mental health issues due to stress etc. The late term abortion should be banned until a severe complications.
