Answer: The Medicare was came in to existence when the President Lyndon Johnson, introduced the Social Security act which was to provide health insurance to the people who have achieved the age of 65 or more than that. It includes that the healthcare facilities should be provided without the consideration if the income or the medical history.

But further, the AMA at present is opposing the Medicare policies as it claims that there are many dysfunction as well as gap in the healthcare system. They want that the Medicare should be for all and the policies should cover most of the diseases and reimbursement.
