While an indwelling catheter is inserted always make sure that the area is properly cleaned away from the body. And acording to the gender only we can select the size of the catheter.Once we have done the procedure,, the nurse should make sure that the catheter is in proper place by attaching the tube to the cleints thighs. This will avoid and kinks on the tube and therfore, it would not provide any discomfort to the patient.

So prior to the procedure, the nurse should take the necessary things to attach the tube to the patient thighs.
