The theory focuses on promoting health behaviours in people that will not only protect the population from disease but also promote health. The theory states that nursing actions can provide specific knowledge and help in encouraging people to follow hygienic practices and behaviours.
The Vietnam healthcare followed the Pendel healthcare model and encouraged people to practice behaviours such as hygienic hand wash, wearing mask at crowded places which helped in breaking chain of infection and prevented spread of the coronavirus.
