Humoral immunity is also called antibody - mediated immunity. The production of antibody in response to antigen is called Humoral immunity.
-B cells are formed in bone marrow.
-Matured B cells leaves the bone marrow.
-Go to peripheral lymphoid tissue and get activated.
-B cells attack the antigen and produce two types of effector cells.
-Plasma cell, produce antibody and memory cell produce secondary immune response.
-If mature B cells fails to encounter antigen they will die within few days by apoptosis.
