observation patients are those whose stay continued as the physician wants to monitor the progress of their condition, even though they will be in a hospital room. The advantage to you is that they can keep caring for and be in a more comfortable area. Patient who are under observation get more close monitoring and any deterioration in their condition can be easily notify.

Patients with minor or major head injury, patient's with episode of seizure, changes in vital signs and with deviations in base line laboratory test results. Such patients require to continue their stay at hospital for observations which reduce readmission of patients also.
