Answer #1

1} Predictive is an adjective which means relating to or having the effect of predicting an event or result.

Analytics means the systematic computational analysis of data or statistics.

Now coming together it predictive analysis means the use of data, statistical algorithms and machine learning techniques to identify the likelihood of future outcomes based on historical data. The goal is to go beyond knowing what has happened to providing a best assessment of what will happen in the future. It has impacted healthcare globally.Today’s healthcare organizations face increasing pressure to achieve better care coordination and improve patient care outcomes. To accomplish these results, organizations are turning to predictive analytics. Organizations that can identify individuals with elevated risks of developing chronic conditions as early in the disease’s progression as possible have the best chance of helping patients avoid long-term health problems that are costly and difficult to treat. In addition to improving transitions of care and deploying care coordination strategies, predictive analytics can warn providers when a patient’s risk factors indicate a high likelihood for readmission within the 30-day window. moreover,Data analytics can help providers react as quickly as possible to changes in a patient’s vitals, and may be able to identify an upcoming deterioration before symptoms clearly manifest themselves to the naked eye. Early identification of individuals likely to cause harm to themselves can ensure that these patients receive the mental healthcare they need to avoid serious events, including suicide. It also manages the supply chain.Predictive tools are in high demand among hospital executives looking to reduce variation and gain more actionable insights into ordering patterns and supply utilization. It has also helped in developin new therapies and medicines. As precision medicine and genomics gain steam, providers and researchers are turning to analytics to supplement traditional clinical trials and drug discovery techniques. In addition to supporting chronic disease management strategies, cutting wait times, and targeting therapies to produce better outcomes, predictive analytics can keep patients engaged in other aspects of their care, as well.

So we talked about how predictive analytics had impacted healthcare till date . Now, we'll talk /discuss it's potential for the future.Prediction certainty changes with the type of question asked. For instance, asking a historical question such as “what did I eat today” is one that can be answered with a high certainty since the answer is “known.” However, as we start asking questions for events that have yet to happen, the prediction certainty decreases. Asking questions such as “how much weight will I gain” or “will I get diabetes” becomes harder to predict the answers with a high level of confidence. BUT somehow , New data streams, including those direct from patients, are beginning to be used by companies for predictive analytics.Familiar methods of predictive analytics with a long history in other technology services are also appearing in health care.Symptom calculators are the “recommendation engines” of health care, helping millions of consumers diagnose themselves. The concern that predictive analytics may reduce patient care to a set of algorithmically derived probabilities is important and real. Particularly as legislation and governance lags behind technology disruption. However, the benefits are also important and real.Technology is playing an integral role in the world today and all sectors are benefitting from what it has to offer. The health care sector is no exception. It can benefit significantly from predictive analytics, and it can be argued that this technology is a core aspect of the future of medicine and health care delivery in general.

2} An approach to the continuous study and improvement of the processes of providing healthcare services to meet the needs of patients and others can be said as PERFORMANCE IMPROVEMENT{PI}. I can suggest 3 rules for creating an effective presentation to summarize PI team's activities.

In order to create an effective presentation to summarize a PI team's activities PI team members should use-

i} Flowcharts - they are used to visually represent or map a process. They are very helpful in understanding the process steps. They also aid in identifying areas in the process that may be problem prone. They can also be useful in identifying internal and external customers. Symbols are used in these diagrams to represent steps or actions in the process.

ii} Large fonts- PI members should use large fonts in the presentation so that people can read the boards from a distance. Also they should map the board in advance with labels for each section and the presentation should keep detailed information in a team record binder for reference.

iii} Historagram- Histograms are a graphic depiction of observations. It may also be referred to as a bar graph. Histograms are useful in identifying the distribution of data and they help to visualize what data looks like. They are used to illustrate the stability of a process.

IF YOU WANT YOU CAN REFER YOUR IDEA TO SOMETHING ELSE OR YOU CAN JUST COMPARE YOUR IDEA WITH SOME OTHER IDEAS. YOU CAN ALSO USE DIAGRAMS TO PRESENT IT MORE EFFECTIVELY.

3} It is very important for a healthcare organization to report the results of their PI activities to both internal and external entities. It is important to report the PI activities to the external entities because healthcare organizations that have improved their services must let other organizations know their activities and to market this fact, potentiallybringing a good balance and a change to the whole healthcare organizations resulting improvements in the sector. It is important for internal entities to know so that it holds the team accountable with following the process plan appropriately and conducting sufficient analysis of pervious actions.
