Seating and positioning are important aspect of rehabilitation. Every patient after any surgery or debilitating disease needs rehabilitation. The sitting position and other positions during the routine activities. If the patient is having disease related to hip joint, he or she should avoid all the activities that increase pressure on the hip joint.

If the patient is having disease around the shoulder joint, he or he should avoid all the activities that increase pressure around shoulder joint. According to the site of pathology, the positioning should be changed.
