The relationship between COVID-19 and opioid epidemic in USA is important or of interest for Public Health because both require the launching of upstream preventive efforts. According to evidence based practice, COVID-19 may lead to infection in people with opioid use disorder, (Becker, 2020). Thus both the COVID-19 and opioid epidemic in USA require advocacy for framing of laws for the prevention of both such as mandatory social distancing for controlling, COVID-19 and framing of laws to control opioid use disorder by the government.
