Ontology is basically a branch of metaphysics which deals with being self ,concepts of a particular subject.In nursing the word ontology can be related to the nursing theories which deals with the concepts,frameworks and ideas of the profession

Classification is the term used to categorise various concepts for example, diabetes is a disease but it is divided or categorised as type 1 or type 2 diabetes based on the etiology therefore this is called classification
