Diagnosis decision support system and case based reasoning system are th other health information systems incorporated to cdss.

Standards: communication with various systems regarding relevant healthcare concepts. Should create and represent clinical knowledge that can be used to enable automated CDS. Should utilise these clinical knowledge resources to deliver CDS intervention within health information systems.

Strategies to ensure interoperability:

Include the right content, provide valid and reliable information, delivering simple message to understand and respond, providing users with scientific references,saving users time, integrating CDS into clinical workflow, improving systems response and speed, adopting active and passive alert mechanism, integrating CDSS with HISs, managing CDSS knowledge .
