• Hematuria is the late manifestation of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH)
• Hematuria is the presence of blood during urination or micturition.
• Hematuria occurs in clients who have not treated for BPH.
• Patients with BPH will have hyper vascular prostate which the prostatic cells bleeds during any physical activities. Thus there will be presence of blood in urine occurs.

• Benign prostatic hyperplasia or BPH is a condition in which the prostate gland is enlarged due to some reasons most probably due to old age.
• The common manifestations are difficulty in initiating urine, decreased force of urine stream as well as nocturia ( increased urination during night ).
• These three are the early signs of BPH as the enlarged prostate blocks the normal flow of urine and it causes the urine to collect in the urinary bladder and the patient will have difficulty in micturition ( urination).
• Also due to the blockage of urine the force of urine stream will be decreased and patient will have an urge to void mostly during the night time which will affect the sleep of the patient.

Note: BPH is a condition seen in middle aged as well in old age people. Due to the aging factors, the above said manifestations can be seen.
