Cholangiogram is the radiological examination of the large bile ducts to detect an obstruction and the cause of obstruction such as gall bladder stones, narrowing of the bile duct, by injecting fluoroscopic dye. when a dye is injected intravenously, it is removed by the liver and excreted into the bile and the bile empties into the duodenum.

Left and right hepatic radicles filled readily along with readily spilling into the duodenum. This finding indicates that there is no obstruction in the bile duct and the injected dye readily passed into duodenum. This is a normal or negative finding. A positive finding shows obstruction in the pathway of the bile.
