Question: What is the most immediate concern for this patient and why? Include in your answer specific facts, data, examples, and other information drawn from your textbook and at least one other supplemental source
Ans
The most immediate concern is poor circulation which may be caused by artherosclerosis, venous insufficiency or any cloting diseases. As client is having ulcer in the leg is due to the arteriosclerosis the blood vessels gets clogged and narrow and blood flow to the legs is decreased and wound is not able to heal. The blood is decreases making the legs cold and clammy. Causing pain in the legs while walking in long distance. Ulcers are common in vericose vein, dibetic and clothing disorder patients.
Smoking is also contributor in delay healing of the ulcers, it caused blocking of the blood vessels which leads to poor circulation result in sore or ulceration.
Uncontrolled blood pressure also leads to arterial ulcers by narrowing of the arteries via artherosclerosis.
