1.In case of any hazards, risks or client related risk factors in the workplace the following has to be done

  • Immediately remove the victim or person from the hazardous environment
  • Assess the risk to identify the hazards and root cause to find a solution
  • Initiate risk control program

2.Some of the ways to follow safe work practice for infection control are

  • Periodic and regular disinfection of the equipment ,devices ,workplace to remove microorganisms
  • Following hand hygiene
  • Use of PPE where ever necessary
  • Isolation technique
  • Infection control practice

3.The after exposure to blood and body fluids are

  • Wash the site with soap and water thoroughly
  • In case of any abrasion or cuts, inform to the immediate supervisor for post exposure prophylaxis
  • Send blood sample of the client for any infectious disease as per the organization protocol
  • Meanwhile take TT and follow orders given by the provider of PEP team

4.The best way to remain current with information are

  • Attend continuing medical education or nursing education program regularly
