When prudent nurse found that nursing care plan did not specify that the wound should be checked hourly she should asked the concerned staff about that.

She should asked the concerned staff about that why this is not mentioned in the nursing care plan. As wound care is the important things to be manage by the nurse.

She can asked the assigned nursing staff to make nursing care plan again so that the nurse can check the wound hourly in next nursing care plan.

This is a type of negligence in the service provided by the nurse. So in this case prudent nurse report the incident to higher authority to take the appropriate action.
