Answer: The premature birth occurs when the infants doesn't complete the whole birth term. The oreterm birth means that the newborn doesn't complete the 37 weeks of pregnancy. In this case, nurses present in the NICU provide intensive care to the newborn. The neonate nurse provides primary care, reducing the chances of the infection, promoting health of the neonate. The rising numbers of the preterm neonate increases the workload among the neonate nurse. The nurse need to be very careful and experienced to handle the situation of the neonates. The preterm birth increases the chances of several disease and disorder if care is not taken properly. Hence the nurse need to pay more attention in such cases. It increases the burnout among neonate nurses. But they perform their duties by indulging themselves in evidence based practice.
