Environmental, genetics and maturation play an important role in the psychological development, physical development, and cognitive development of a person.
1. Environment in physical, psychological and cognitive development.
- In this the environment includes the surrounding where the person is living. The environment or the physical environment includes the housing, air, pollutants, noise, schools, colleges, culture, family, socio-economic, neighbors that are needed by a person for the living. The person living in the high pollutant air, less sanitize place and housing, low socio-economic have a high chance to get infections or any diseases as compared to people living in a clean environment. Example: A person living in the slum have high chances to reduce physical development due to lack of food, unhygienic environment.
- In the environment, the person living is the disharmony family, lack of soci-economic, disharmony society lead to a decrease the psychological development due to the stress, anxiety that he or she is facing in the environment. So it is important to keep stress free environment. Example: children living in war zone area have a high chance to reduce psychological development due to the stress war in the place.
- The person having good guidance, family support, and schooling has high cognitive development as compared to the cognitive development of the person living with no one to guide, lack of family support and no education. In this education from the family, society, school, and colleges plays an important role to improve the cognitive development of the person. Example: Child living in high-class families have high chances to become more intelligent and thinking ability to solve any problem as they are trained in the school and colleges or from the family members.
2. Genetics in the physical, psychological and cognitive development.
- Genetics of a child or person regulate the physical, psychological, and cognitive development. in the physical development, the children mostly development the physical almost same with their parents. For example, children born in Asia countries are short in height and children born by an African parent are having more height.
- Any abnormal in genetics leads to born of abnormal or congenital disorder child. This leads to a decrease in psychological and cognitive development due to abnormality in the genes. Example: Children with down syndrome have less psychological and cognitive development as compare to a normal healthy children.
3. Maturation
The more maturation person has more physical, psychological, and cognitive development as compared to a less mature person. Example: The adolescent have physical growth more, more psychological and cognitive development as compared to a newborn.
