This will enhance the cooperation from part of patient,improves understanding,minimizes stress and aids in better adherance to management plans. Anticipating the needs of counselling and psychological support by observing signs of stress can also improve the general health status and prevents stress induced complications.

Proper handing over about minute details regarding the patient, cross checking patient identity, consent forms and reporting any important patient related events that may affect the surgery outcomes (eg:high BP or altered blood glucose levels) may help in prevention of errors and aids in patient safety. All the medical records, investigation reports,medication status also needs to be informed clearly.
