Ernestine wiedenbach was a nursing theorists. She had recognised registered nurse from John Hopkins school of nursing in 1925 and having a certified nurse-midwifery from materniy center association school known for Nurse midwives in New York.

She is the author of the book those are used for basically nursing purpose.

She proposed that nursing education serves the practice in four major ways

- To established the responsible practitioner of nursing in future

-It helps the nursing student to gain experience

-Representative may function in clinically also

- It offers educational opportunity to the nurse for special and advance studies.

In the field of research, before wiedenbach model , nursing research focused on Medical model than on nursing model. Her nursing model is related to the patients response to the healthcare experience.

Her conceptual model is The helping art of clinical nursing.
