Studies suggest that there are so many evidence-based practices that support the transmission of HIV from mother to child and it ultimately affect the mortality as well as the health of child. Hence the gynecologists recommend to carry out the HIV testing in early pregnancy to avoid any chance of such mother to child transmission. If MTCT (mother to child transmission) is diagnosed at an early stage it can be controlled by the proper medications. Otherwise, it will lead to child mortality. Hence it is highly recommended to control such cases of Maternal HIV and further transmission to the child. Thus controlling maternal HIV significantly affects child health.
