The schedule is very full today, so Carlos has to decide whether the child should be seen today or first thing tomorrow. When should Carlos schedule the appointment? #. Carlos should first off all make the mother calm down ,provide her emotional support and tell her that there is nothing to be panic. Check the temperature every six hourly for four times a day . Carlos should ask the mother that whether the child has some other complaints or not . If not then observe every six hourly temperature and then come with the fresh CBC report tomorrow morning .

#. Significance of axillary temperature:-

Most axillary skin and tissues are not close to major blood vessels, so axillary temperature is as much a reflection of skin temperature as of core temperature.
