Dementia is a brain disease which affects the thinking capacity of an individual. it occurs in old age and secondary to any neurological diseases.

About 10% of people develop this disorder at some point of lives.

People with depression,head injury,sleep problems,high cholesterol levels, hypertension, diabetes, smoking, obesity ,Mild cognitive impairment, Down syndrome, Heavy Alcohol consumption in general community might and are at high risk for getting dementia at an younger age.

For example if a person is in depression for quite long time without taking any treatment or psychological support will land up in loss of thinking capacity slowly and gradually leading to Dementia
