According to researchers, as the ever increasing burden of chronic diseases in the U.S. continues, greater efforts will be made to identify and implement intervention that successfully reduce risk, especially in the work place. These diseases account for 7 of every 10 deaths and affect the quality of life of 90 million Americans. Although chronic diseases are among the most common and costly health problems, they are also among the most preventable.

It is highly influenced by aging of every individual. As we grow old the onset begins it can be either innate or hereditary or because of various chemical reactions caused by pollution and exposure to chemical substances and so on.

Selection of instruction materials must be based on the age group we choose to educate.

• Audio visual aids can be helpful for all age groups for better understanding
• A use of an overhead projector can convert the ideas and information into a moving picture like a presentation conducted by a physician or a nurse
• Impacts of the diseases can be illustrated through the help of diagrams and charts
• Pathology and clinical manifestations can be represented by using tables

For people who cannot access computer or modern technologies,the charts, tables, graphs, drawings and patterns can be highly useful.

For young people, sophisticated technologies like use of computer, mobile applications,use of awareness websites can be beneficial.

How to prevent Chronic disease conditions?

• Educate affected people and non affected people by illustrating the drawbacks of smoking
• Advice them to quit alcohol or use it in moderation
• Eat healthy
• Regular exercise is highly recommended
• Grab enough sleep
• Regular health checks are mandatory
• Understand your family history to identify the chances of hereditary diseases
