THE MAIN FOCUS OF METAEHNOGRAPHY IS THAT IT SHOULD LEAD TO INSIGHTS AND INTERPRETATIONS THAT WERE NOT APPARENT IN INDIVIUAL INCLUDED STUDIES. THIS METHOD PUT IT's BEST USE AS IT INCLUDES IT's EXPERIENCED QUALITATIVE RESEARCHERS.

NOBLIT AND HARE DESCRIBED THE SEVEN STAGES OF THE META-ETHNOGRAPHY, THESE ARE AS FOLLOWS:

  • STARTING THE META ANALYSIS.
  • CONSIDERATION OF RELEVANT STUDIES.
  • READING THE STUDY.
  • DECIDING HOW THE STUDIES CAN BE PUT TOGETHER.
  • TRANSLATING THE STUDIES INTO ONE ANOTHER.
