The ventricular septal difecta often cause a heart murmur by auscultation the main diagnostic methods are,

Echocardiogram

Electrocardiogram

Chest x ray

Pulse oxymetri

Cardiac catheterization.

Symptoms are,

Heart murmur, hypertrophy of heart chambers

shortness and fast breathing

cynosis

Poor circulation

edema

failure to thrive

fatigue,exesive sweting

Treatmetnts of Ventricular septal disorder are,

Small ventricular septal difect wont need surgery.

If septal difect is large then need surgical intervension.

medications are ,

Diuritics,betablockers like metoprolol,propralol and digoxin

The surgical intervention include,

surgical repair- open heart sugery under general anasthesia

Catheter procedure- closure by cardiac catheterization

Hybrid procedure - A hybrid procedure uses surgical catheter based techique,without stopping the heart,without using a heart lung machine.
