Amitriptyline is used to treat depression ,while cimitidine is used to treat gastric acid reflex.When we taking these drugs together can cause some interactions.Taking these drugs together is risk.Cimitidine can prevent the action of amitriptyline and intetupt the antidepressent effect.This will leads to accumulation of this drug and leads to toxicity.It ia better is avoid cimetidine prescription along with Amittiptyline.If it taken can cause weakness,dizziness,irregular heart beat ,anxiety ,nervousness and insomnia.
