Homework Answers

Answer #1

1)This type of immune response is characterized by the identification of a familiar antigen is Cell mediated immune response.

Humoral immune response:

It results in production of protein called immunoglobulins or antibodies. The humoral immunity protects against extracellular pathogens and their toxins.

Cell mediated immune response:

It involves specialised set of lymphocytes called T cells that recognise foreign antigen on the surface of cells, organisms or tissue:helper T cells,Cytotoxic T cells.

Passive immune response:

It develops after you receive antibodies from someone or somewhere.

Ex:antibodies receivedfrom mother to baby via breast milk.

Antibodies received in the form of injections.

Suppressed immune response:

The immune system is weakened or suppressed by cancer, certain drugs(used in case a of autoimmune disorders, organ transplantation) and some chronic disease conditions like AIDS.

2)HIV can service in body fluids.

HIV cannot survive for a long outside the body.It quickly gets damaged and becomes inactive when it gets exposed to environment. It can only survive only in body fluids.

Even in a dried body fluid also HIV cannot survive.

3. Organising the stage order from begining to final stage of labour:

Contractions are 60-90 Seconds long:

In early labour along with the dilation of cervix ,mild contraction of 60-90second occurs.

Positions the baby shoulder:

In second stage of labour it begins with full dilation of cervix to expulsion of fetus occurs.

Following the presentation of head, rotation and delivery of the anterior shoulder occurs, followed by delivery of posterior shoulder occurs.

Cutting the Umbilical Cord:

In second stage of labour once the baby is born.

The cord is clamped immediately after birth, usually between 10 to 15 seconds after and cut.

Contractions:

Following the delivery of the baby(Third stage),uterus resumes contractions, and detachment of placenta starts.

Delivery of the placenta :

Third stage labour in which after the baby is born ,the patient continues to have contraction so thst placenta can be delivered.
