Transcultural theory or Culture care nursing theory helps culturally adaptive nursing methods which can be used for the treatment of a patient based on the individual's culture, belief system and way of life. In evidence based practice (EBP), the treatment/practices used are based on scientific frame work and focussed on effective care based on the evidence available. So a trancultural theory in EBP is inclusion of the particular ethinic group/cultural group in recruitment and research which helps us understanding the thoughtprocess, reasons and problems of the community for better healthcare delivery. The other application can be providing the best treatment to these particular cultural population and the negligence of the healthcare provider that have bias against the same. Also, the ability of these patient to seek best treatment and cultural differences between the healthcare personnel and the patient for effective treatment can be a major area for EBP utilizing trannscultural therapy. Also the medical decision including the cultural aspect in EBP for clinical decision making can further improve on the applications.
