Patients when they are sick or needs medical help first attend their primary care physician or provider .Most of the cases can be effectively diagnosed and treated at this level .So the cost of expenditure is minimal or less. If the physician examines and finds any greater concern or problems which needs a specialist to investigate. Only then they are referred .This will reduce unnecessary expenditure by direct visit to a specialist by a patient without any necessity.The growing number of patients will be first examined by the primary care provider as a whole, so it is important for healthcare facilities to hire more primary care physician than specialists .
