repair of a fractured left hip. Mrs. Green is also a diabetic. You arrive at the Client’s home to find her on the
floor, drowsy, but responsive.

covering an evening shift today. He is confused and then becomes agitated and starts yelling obscenities at you.
You try o calm him down but he doesn’t listen, he just rants on. You are getting very frustrated.

1) Immediate concerns for the client includes hypoglycemia and injury to the surgical site
2) This information could be communicate with the concern medical team.
3) Stabilize the patient by providing safe and supine position. Check blood glucose level, if found low provide sugar/candy after ensuring the gag reflux of the patient. Then call for assistance.

1) Communicate with the patient only in a calm and polite manbet. Call his family members/relatives for assistance. Remove yourself from the scene and give the person sometime to calm down.
