  • The quality and reliability of health information found in social media platforms can sometimes be compromised. We cannot blindly belive everything that found in such platforms.
  • There is a chance for negative repercussions resulting from the breach of patient confidentiality.
  • Use of social media platforms can be addictive as a result there is a high chance of wasting our valuable time infront of computers or mobile phones, that can be otherwise used productively.

There are many ways that can be used effectively to avoid disclosing confidential information that include

  • Create thorough policies and confidentiality agreements.
  • Provide regular training.
  • Make sure that all information is stored on safe and secure system.
  • Ban the use of mobile phones in working hours.
