Romberg test : It is used to diagnose sensory ataxia.

Steps of romberg test include:

1. Ask the patient to remove his shoes and stand with legs together. The hands are kept next to body

2. Ask the child to open the eyes the same type eyes closed. The patient now can stand and maintain balance with eyes closed.

(3) The test is interpreted by counting the seconds the patient could stand with eye closed.

Positive romberg test means the patient is falling on eye closed. Negative test represent normal result,that Patient can balance well with eyes closed.
