Answer #1

ANSWER:-

3) Pressure ulcers takes extensive time and requires the most support to heal.

*Pressure ulcers are caused by increased pressure and friction on the area, which causes reduced blood supply resulting in tissue damage and death or necrosis of underlying tissues. The common cause of pressure ulcer is immobility which cause reduction in blood supply, and increased pressure and friction for prolonged period of time. So this require extensive time, support and care to heal.Otherwise it can cause more tissue damage and extension of ulcer.

* Surgical wounds like Tonsillectomy and Appendectomy site wound are considered as most clean and made under sterile conditions and with minimum tissue destruction. These wounds are easy to heal because the edges are in close proximity. Blood vessels are intact and gets adequate blood supply.

* First degree burns affects only the top layer of the skin, which is the epidermis and easy to heal. Complete recovery is possible within a week. Damage to underlying tissues and blood vessels are nil or very minimal.
