why would assimilation be difficult for the family in a raisin in the sun?

Assimilation is the changes of one culture to another culture. In the act, there is so many separation between the american and the africa because of minority and skin color. The family in the raisin in the sun are from africa and they are black in color. So even if they try to change to American, they will face the discrimination and no one will accept them as American because of their skin color. This makes difficult to follow assimilation in this play.
