Multidimensional approach in health care refers to assessing , planning and implementation of strategies which addresses the needs of patient and their way in many ways. Health itself is multidimensional needing the multidimensional approach to meet the needs of the patient.

Examples of health care team in multidimensional approach :

1. Physicians :

  • Provide the needed medical therapy in alleviating the symptoms.
  • Required surgical intervention.
  • Guidance on health and lifestyle.

Nurse :

  • Assist in daily activities of living if physically inactive.
  • Administering medications.
  • Psychological support to patient and their family members.

Dietician :

  • Advice on diet to take care and maintain the quality of life.
  • Provides food to the patient during hospitalization as per the needs.

Physiotherapist :

  • Helps in clearing up of secretions in the lungs.
  • Teaches range of motion exercises.
