Answer #2

Weight of Doris is 130 lbs ( 0.45kg× 130 ) = 58.5kg

Height of Doris is 62inches = 157.4cm

Age of Doris is 52years

1) For men,

B.E.E. = 66.5 + (13.75 x kg) + (5.003 x cm) - (6.775 x age)

For women,

B.E.E. = 655.1 + (9.563 x kg) + (1.850 x cm) - (4.676 x age)

Using the formula:-

B.E.E = 655.1 +( 9.563× 58.5) + ( 1.850× 157.4) - ( 4.676× 52)

= 655.1 + 559.4 + 291.1 - 243.1

= 1262.5 kcal/day

2) Resting energy need:-

Mifflin-St Jeor equation is believed to give the most accurate result and, is therefore what we used in this calculator. This BMR formula is as follows: BMR (kcal / day) = 10 * weight (kg) + 6.25 * height (cm) – 5 * age (y) + s (kcal / day) , where s is +5 for males and -161 for females

= 10× 58.5 + 6.25× 157.4 - 5 × 52 -161

= 1147.7kcal/day
