Discuss the roles of enzymes, hormones, the gallbladder, the pancreas, and the liver in accomplishing chemical digestion:

Homework Answers

Answer #1

The gallbladder, liver and pancreas ate the organs which are involved in digestion. When food is ingested and it reaches the stomach the digestion starts. The liver aides in the secretion of bile and it enters the gall bladder. The bile mixes up with the food (chyme )and it is processed in the duodenum. Here the large fays molecules are broken down into small pieces of molecules .From their it enters the small intestine where most of the nutrients are absorbed by the action of pancreas. Pancreas releases most of the digestive enzymes in the small intestine and digests the food and leads to absorption of nutrients .This is done by the pancreatic juice. Hence these organs are interrelated in the chemical digestion.
