What approach would you take to assess a patient with severe depression that is unwilling to talk about their feelings?

severe depressive patient has following characterstics , namely behavioural, emotional and cognitive aspects changes which are loss of energy,diturbances with sleep, changes in appetite and loss of eye contact ; depressed mood, feeling of sadness, feeling of worthlessness ;negative aspects of a situation, death and suicide respectively.

before communicating to patient with severe depression, it is important to remember the charcaterstics of depression.

the best approach to be used for severe depression is speech therapy.

therapeutic environment: it is important for a health provider a make a good environment. that is therapeutic environment.. therapeutic environment helps the patient to sit comfortably, by providing chair and table.the environment should be free from external noises, keeping a paper and pencil in the chair
