The health care organizations need to be responsive to the issues of icresingly diverse paitent populations, they can use some aproches like organizational commitment,empirical evidence, a competent and diverse workforce,ensuring access for all users,variatiions in the operationalizatiion of these domains related to different scopes, contexts and types of diversity.unfortunatly from time to time the organizations can be faced with unexpected and possibly traumatic incident,following steps are useful to manage and prevent such issues,

  • Manage immediate response, by prioritise the welfare of the staff,understand reporting obligations,manage reputational risk,secure all relevant evidence,communicate with the staff about the incidence,
  • Review or investigate the issue- Determine whether the police coroner or other regulator will be investigate,determine the scope of the review of investigation,
  • Follow up post review- have an ongoing emphasis on staff well being,consider and act on the recommendatins and learnings,encourage and build a culture which encourages staff to speak up about rich.
