Answer - Patient with Parkinson disease suffering from cognitive impairments as well as psychiatric disturbance such as depression, psychosis, poor impulse control, insomnia ( difficulties in sleeping). He having poor body balance, muscle rigidity with jerky movement, risk of fall, drooling, difficulty in swollowing etc problems are seen.
Overcome tools are such as following -
- Maintain safety first, assist with ambulatory services and provide assistive devices or promote safty measures.
- Teach the patient to rock back or forth to intiate movement.
- Teach them to wear low heels shoes and to lift feet during walking or avoid Prolonged sitting.
- Teach them to live in proper posture, use firm mattress with prone position without pillow.
- Also teach the client to hold hand behind the back which active spine and neck in good position.
- Assist the patient to provide physical therapy.
- Provide or administration of the medicines as prescribed by the physicians or regularly follow up.
- Daily intake fluid intake at least 2000 ml per day.
- Intake food which is high in calories, protein, high fiber food, soft diet with small amount and frequent feeding.
