Community emergency could be disasters, natural or man made.

  • prepare and maintain hospital emergency or quick response team
  • establish the triage area
  • ensure adequate supplies and resources available
  • ensure safe security systems in the system
  • ensure that hazardous materials are kept or stored separately
  • maintain infection control practices are in place
  • identify the entry and exit room and maintain traffic control
  • priortize indications for emergency surgery
  • ensure continuous tracking of availabilty of emergency supplies
  • maintain shift rotations and turn over of the staff
