For example osteoporosis or asthma in an individual . The subacute infection in an individual is the one in which the symptoms will take much longer to develop when compared to an acute infection in the individual but they will arise much more quickly than the chronic infection whereas the latent infection in an individual is specificaly the type of the infection that might take place after an acute episode in an individual ; in this condition the organism is present in the body but the symptoms of the condition are not present; after a long period of time the disease can reappear.
