Answer #1

The birth control method which can be recommended for this patient by and after 36 years is by using a contraceptive device which are long term in action (for about 3-5 years). The second option is the use of birth control pill. These two methods are highly effective but as a mother of three it is better to used a contraceptive device .

Assess the mother for any current pregnancy or planning for any near future pregnancy .Any medical illness and use of other medications which can interact with these contraceptive drugs.

Consent will be required like consent for Hormonal contraceptive ,consent for contraceptive devices.

Community resources like screening program, camps, educational platforms ,social platforms to share and exchange information.

The patient education needed are

  • To take the hormonal pills as directed not to skip ,underdose or overdose
  • In case of contraceptive device assess for its position daily (in copper T device )
  • No unnecessary over the counter medication frequently
  • Encourage to do safe sex practice
  • Hygienic measures after intercourse
  • Periodic screening for STD
  • report in case of any infection (fever, chills, itching ,abnormal discharge ,etc. ,) to get medical help
  • Follow up as directed
