Here Natalia is most probably suffering from a FEEDING AND EATING DISORDER.

Feeding and eating disorders are characterised by a persistent disturbance of eating or eating related behaviour that results in the altered consumption or absorbtion of food and that significantly impairs physical health or psychological functioning.

Here the behaviour of Natalia worsens after eating, hence mostly she is suffering from BULLIMIA NERVOSA.

The following are the diagnostic features of bullimia nervosa.

Criterion a: recurrent episodes of binge eating

Criterion b:recurrent inappropriate compensatory behaviours to prevent weight gain such as self induced vomitings, inappropriate use of laxatives, fasting or excessive exercise.

Criterion d:self evaluation that is unduly influenced by body shape and weight.

Criterion c:to qualify for the diagnosis, the binge eating and inappropriate compensatory behaviors must occur , on average ,at least once per week for 3 months.

Associated features supporting diagnosis: Individuals with bullimia nervosa are within normal weight or overweight range.Menstrual irregularities or amenorrhea occurs among female patients. the fluid and electrolyte imbalances may occur.Rare but fatal complication includes esophageal tear, gastric rupture, and cardiac arrhythmias.

HERE IN THIS CASE HEALTH CARE PROVIDERS MUST TAKE A DETAILED HISTORY OF NATALIA'S EATING PATTERNS, BEHAVIOUR AFTER EATING ,FREUENCY OF SUCH BEHAVIOURS ETC INORDER TO REACH THE DIAGNOSIS OF BULLIMIA NERVOSA. SUPPORTING EVIDENCES SUCH AS WEIGHT OF THE PATIENT, ANY OTHER PHYSICAL DISORDERS ETC CAN ALSO BE TAKEN INTO ACCOUNT.
